2009 Shop Roane First Shopping Spree

The Shop Roane First Shopping Spree is designed to encourage residents to shop in Roane County before they drive elsewhere for their holiday shopping. The prize money is donated by the Roane County News as a service to the community and is to be spent at participating Roane County Chamber member businesses, according to the contest rules.

Contest Rules:
1. No employee or immediate family members of the Roane County Chamber of Commerce or any Roane Alliance Partners, nor members and immediate family of the Roane County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors are eligible for this contest. Roane Newspaper employees and immediate family members are also ineligible to participate.
2. Register at the participating businesses that are included in a special shopping spree publication in the Roane County News. The Shopping Spree will occur at businesses showcased in this special publication ONLY.
3. Sales tax must be paid on items purchased.
4. One registration per visit.
5. Registration boxes will be picked up on December 11th & 12th. The drawing will be held on Friday, December 16th at Noon at the Roane Alliance Office during their Christmas Open House.
6. The winners will be accompanied by a Chamber Board Member who will pay for selected goods at participating businesses.
7. Attempts will be made to contact the winners up to 24 hours after drawing. If all efforts fail to contact the winners during this time, a second name will be drawn.
