Harriman Public Library Celebrates 100th Birthday
The Harriman Public Library is preparing for a year-long birthday celebration....and well it should be. The library, quietly nestled on the corner of Walden and Trenton Streets, is reaching the big 100!
One hundred years of stories, books, people, and community have passed through the heavy wooden doors. The library wants to hear your stories and memories of times spent in the antique building so they can be shared during the 'Year of the Library - Celebrating 100 Years'.
Contact the Harriman Public Library by calling 865-882-3195, write your stories down and send them to the Library at 601 Walden Street, Harriman, TN 37748, or visit the website at www.harrimanlibrary.org and email them directly to the library.
The Library is planning a year-long event with monthly events throughout the year. Please send your stories, photos, and memories to the library so that your personal history can be joined with others in the community and help the library really tells its story.
