Relay for Life Event
04/27/2012 - 04/28/2012
To honor those who have faced cancer, won, lost, still fighting
Relay for Life Event
April 27, 2012 at 6pm ending April 28, 2012 at 8 am
Roane State Community College
Relay is a overnight community event where everyone can participate in the fight against cancer. We have a chance to celebrate with the Survivors lap which opens the relay at 6 pm, the chance to remember when the sun goes down, hundreds of luninaries light the track- this is to honor the ones who faced cancer - those we've lost, those still fighting , and those who have fought and won. Then we have a chance to fight back - every dollar you collect, every person you tell, and every step you take helps fight cancer. This gives us a chance to make a difference.
There will be food, craft items, games and entertainment at the event to help raise more money. The Kiwanis Club of Roane County will host a pancake breakfast the morning of the 28th at 8 am. All proceeds will go to the Relay for Life. Please come and participate in the Relay and show your support for our survivors, caregivers, families and friends in our community that have been affected by cancer.
The event is alcohol and tobacco free.
