Come experience a Country Fair with a Mayberry Feel! The Tennessee Polk Salad Festival & Pageant will be Saturday, May 10th, 2008 from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.  Opening ceremonies will be at 10:30 featuring the "American Clogging Hall of Fame World Champion Cloggers" from South Eastern Clogging Co. along with other entertainers to be announced.  There will be entertainment all day--Bluegrass Bands, Food, Adult and Children Cooking Contest, Country Fair Children's Games, Horse Shoe tournament for adults, Crafts, Face painting, petting zoo, hand led horse back riding and much, much more!  Appearances from 2007 Ms. Polk Salad and the famous "Barney Fife" impersonator.  The Ms. Polk Salad pageant will start at 4:00 at the Historic Princess Theatre in Downtown Harriman proceeded by a parade from Harriman Lakefront Park starting at 3:30.  Entertainment to follow after the Pageant at Riverfront Park starting at 6:30.
