Darrell Williams New Vice President of Development at Roane Alliance

Tuesday December 20, 2011

Darrell Williams has been named Vice President, Business Development of The Roane Alliance.

"Williams has been with the Alliance for nearly two years providing great service to our Chamber members, while working hard to recruit new industry and retail businesses to town," said Leslie Henderson, President and CEO of The Alliance, in announcing the promotion. "In this new slot, he will begin to use those skills to also help direct our recruiting and sales programs to help the team at the Alliance become even more efficient and effective."

Williams is a Roane County native who spent more than 20 years in sales, marketing and consulting - particularly in the nanotechnology field - before he came to the Alliance as Member Services Director in February of 2010.

"I'm very excited about the chance to help direct business development at the Alliance. This is a great opportunity for me, and I know that since Roane County has a whole lot going for it for businesses looking for a location, this should be a good fit for the county and me," said Williams.

Williams and his wife, Teresa, are both from Roane County and live in Kingston, and have a grown daughter, Kim who teaches at Kingston Elementary School. He is a graduate of Harriman High School and attended Roane State Community College.

The Roane Alliance is Roane County's economic development organization consisting of both public and private organizations: the County Industrial Development Board and the Roane County Visitors Bureau, and the Chamber of Commerce.
