Roane County Featured on Fred Thompson's News Program

Kingston, TN -- Roane County was chosen as a "hidden gem" and is being featured in Inside Business, a new television news series hosted by Fred Thompson that is being shown all over the country.
As part of the show's ‘Report on Economic Development' series, each segment features topics, trends and issues related to "America's Hidden Gem, Best Environments for Business & Lifestyle." In the segment Thompson takes a "closer look inside the workings of the modern global economy" and refers to Roane County as "one example of an economic success story in the making."
In his introduction to the five-minute feature on Roane County, which was filmed locally several months ago, Thompson says, "In our rapidly evolving world, success is defined by turning challenges into opportunities...With enough foresight and ingenuity, the complex problems of today can become the achievements of tomorrow." Recognizing Roane County as "America's Technology Crossroads...a place where both life and business prosper," the segment features the economic growth and development efforts of the Roane Alliance.
This segment has aired in the Atlanta and Ohio markets over the past several months. Airings to date: October 4, 11, 18, 25: Atlanta Metro Channel 26 (covering portions or all of Barrow, Bartow, Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, Coweta, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnet, Hall, Jackson, Oconee, Rockdale, & Walton counties with over 775,000 subscribers). December 5, 12, 19, 26: ONN, Ohio News Network: covering Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Dayton and Toledo.
