ROANE COUNTY, TN. The Roane Alliance Gala – ‘A Night in Roane’ - will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at a new event venue – The Barn at Maple Creek on Gallaher Road in Kingston. And for the very first time it will be combined with the Roane Chamber Banquet, annually held in the spring.
“2019 has been a year of change for the Roane Alliance, so it seems fitting that one of the biggest changes has been to combine both the Chamber Banquet and the Gala into one event to celebrate the ‘new’ roaring 20’s,” said President Pam May, Roane Alliance. “We are excited about the new venue and know that this event is going to truly be a special night in Roane County. And of course, in keeping with the 1920’s, the night will be a celebration of our economic prosperity and culture, that includes upbeat jazz music, flapper dresses, and a champagne reception.”
The evening will begin at 6 pm with guests being encouraged to dress in black-tie or 1920’s attire. Guests should expect to be part of an historic night, with the largest gathering under one roof to celebrate not only the county’s accomplishments but also to recognize Roane’s top businesses and leaders.
And, as in the past, guests will enjoy:
Silent and live auctions, with everyone’s favorite auctioneer, Bear Stephenson;
Dinner and dessert;
Live jazz music by the Tim Hughes Quartet; and
Champagne reception that includes wine and beer.
“This event is a fundraiser for the Roane Alliance,” added May, “with all the proceeds raised funding the organization that provides a one stop shop and unified voice for the Roane County Industrial Development Board, Visitors Bureau, and Chamber, as well as running successful programs such as Education Matters and Retire Roane. We use this time to also celebrate the county’s accomplishments, and this year has been no exception – with the Tennessee Riverline and announcement of the Enhanced Training Facility, just to name a few. Please plan to join us and/or sponsor or donate to the auction. After all, ‘a little party never killed nobody,’ as they used to say in 1920.” Thank you to the event’s very first sponsors:
